As the Director of Public Affairs, I am responsible at Finance Finland for the overall coordination of influencing and communications. The highly skilled experts in my team take care of communications, media relations, lobbying and stakeholder work, coordination of sustainability, financial sector foresight and the promotion of financial literacy and welfare financing. I am also responsible for coordinating labour market matters with Service Sector Employers Palta and the Confederation of Finnish Industries EK.

What was your background before starting at Finance Finland?

I have been through a revolving door – I’ve changed roles more than once. Working as a journalist, special adviser to a minister, non-fiction writer and now as a lobbyist, I’ve gained a comprehensive understanding of the Finnish decision-making process. Openness is the foundation of everything.
